About Us

Ohio's Youth Entertainers Stage Show is a self-contained, total "Energetic & exciting musical variety show." Featuring "Kids bursting with talent," ages 7 to 19 from all over central Ohio who love to perform. Members must audition to be part of the Entertainers. The show features singing, dancing, acting, skits, comic relief, and all around good fun. Styles of song and dance may include Broadway, rock, pop, country, folk, hip-hop, ethnic, patriotic, swing, jazz, or others we come up with.

Our unique stage show is enhanced with fun costumes, props, jokes, laughter, and audience participation. We are a non-profit group committed to Artistic Performing Excellence. Each member brings a talent to the group that is showcased. We travel with our own sound system and lights if needed. Our travels have taken us all over Ohio, Boston, Washington, DC, and New York City.

Formed in 1996 by performer / director / choreographer Christina Barth who has a background in show business as a professional singer - solo performer in pop and rock bands, dancer and actress, performing with many celebrities all over the USA. She has opened for such groups as Starship, Coasters, Vogues, Sonny Geraci, Joe Diffie, Mark Chestnut, and Tracy Lawrence. She brings a high level of expertise to the Entertainers and exudes energetic perfection to all the performing members.

In 1996, Christina Barth along with Barry Hensley, established the group while performing with The Entertainers. Barry played the piano while Christina directed. In January, 1997, by mutual agreement, Christina took the group solely and renamed them "The Licking County Youth Entertainers". The purpose was to create "Entertainers".

Since 1997, the group has grown in popularity and opened its doors to youth around central Ohio. In September 2001, the name was changed and is now known as OH-Y.E.S.S. The name is here to stay! We hope you join us for one of our shows!
